Canadian Quinoa - Basic Recipe


Note*  NorQuin Canadian Quinoa Vs. Imported Quinoa requires different cooking instruction.  Please follow the recipe closely.  Enjoy!

1 cup Norquin Brand Canadian Quinoa
4 cup boiling water

Our quinoa is best cooked like pasta! Bring a Medium pot of water to a boil (keep ratio of quinoa to water 4:1 or higher), Add 1 cup quinoa (or desired amount), reduce heat slightly and boil for 15 minutes uncovered. Remove from heat immediatley and drain through fine mesh strainer, ensuring you remove all excess water, fluff with fork and enjoy!

Microwave Method: Using a 2:1 water to quinoa ratio ( ie: 1/2 cup Quinoa to 1 cup water) add quinoa and water to a microwave safe dish, cover and cook for 8 - 12 minutes on high power. (microwave powers vary so start with a lower time and cook until water is absorbed.)
